Customer Memo: Updates to the Eurofins TRAC ID Report
October 20, 2025 – Thanks to feedback from experts in the field, the team at Transplant Genomics announces a change to our existing reporting for Eurofins TRACâ„¢ ID. These updates are designed to focus on the most pertinent and needed information for your kidney transplant recipients.
What’s Changing?
Enhanced ID Panel Reporting
- The Infectious Disease (ID) panel will now appear on a separate page
- Results will be reported in log10 (genomic copies/mL), expressed in the report as log(gC/mL)
- Results for TTV will be reported with updated thresholds of 4.5 and 7.8 respectively, as per the September 2025 paper released titled Using Torque Teno Virus as a Serial Monitoring Tool for the Net State of Immunosuppression of Kidney Transplant Recipients. We encourage you to read the full paper here.
Virus Categorization for Clinical Insight
- Viruses in the ID panel are now grouped into two clinically relevant categories
- Primary Transplant Viruses: Includes CMV, BKV, and EBV – viruses with established management guidelines for transplant patients
- Potential Biomarker: Includes TTV – a non-pathogenic virus currently under investigation for its potential role as a biomarker of immunosuppression
These changes will be taking effect as of 10/27/2025.
